TOKEN FAQ

How many tokens were generated in total?

There were 2,000,000,000 (2 bn) finite RVP tokens generated (the total supply).

Of the total generated, how many tokens were sold to the public?

1,200,000,000 (1.2 bn) were distributed in an auction environment.

What’s the distribution breakdown of the total 2,000,000,000 generated tokens?

  • 1,200,000,000 (60%) Public Sale
  • 200,000,000 (10%) held in escrow for blockchain operations*
  • 200,000,000 (10%) held in escrow for grants*
  • 200,000,000 (10%) marketing, admin – discretionary
  • 200,000,000 (10%) to the RevPop team (locked up for additional 18 months after Main Net launch & Token Swap)

*Tokens to be held in escrow for a DAO foundation, with 20,000,000 tokens (1% of total) distributed per year for 10 years.

Are the Tokens sold in the Public Sale subject to a lock-up?

The ERC-20 RVP token will be released and free to trade on Uniswap as of April 7, 2021 at 8 AM EST. Main Net is still being developed; and once Main Net is operational, the swap ratio between the ERC-20 token and the native Main Net token will be one-for-one, to maintain a 2,000,000,000 finite supply.

What happens if the project doesn’t go well?

We believe we’ve laid the groundwork for a strong foundation, with both the core technology and working resources from the Public Auction; and we will continue to advance the project. The layer-1 code is already open source at github.com/Revolution-Populi, with some really cool early innovations in there, like the core rdPOS consensus algorithm, that could be meaningful for future blockchain and data stacks, and the apps that use them. Please do follow the Github, as well as our Twitter and Telegram.

We feel the project is in a good position to continue to advance in a steady way; however, it’s important to be aware that there are no guarantees, and that this is undeniably not a risk-free project which, understandably, may not be for everyone. One thing we can say though, is that this project has been genuinely dedicated to the object of digital sovereignty, and will continue to be until the last dog dies.
